About Us

How We Started

After they got married in July 2004, Jimmy and Helen Casey felt they would be involved in pioneering a new church but the problem was where? After several months of seeking God they decided to spend a month on a 'signs and wonders' school of ministry in Toronto.

Jimmy takes up the story: ‘While we were in Toronto we bumped into an old friend who asked “Have you ever thought about church planting into Blackpool?”  To which our initial gut response was ‘not really!

Church Planting in Las Vegas?

Over the next few days the Holy Spirit softened my heart and filled my thoughts about Blackpool. In fact the call was so strong that I was convinced it was right to move there! When we got back to the UK we sought God for clear confirmation which dramatically came through our regional leader, Andy Davies. While we were still in Toronto God gave him a dream that he and his wife came to visit us where it seemed we were all in Las Vegas because we were surrounded by casinos and slot machines! But in this dream we all had winter coats on because it was so cold! It then became abundantly clear that Andy had dreamt about visiting us in Blackpool…the Las Vegas of the North!’

Early in April, Helen was miraculously provided a teaching job without even an interview! We then moved to rented accommodation in Lytham near Blackpool. Around this time Jimmy was given clear direction through a vision of the house they were to buy. He saw a white house with bay windows and an imprinted pattern above the front window in the brickwork. They moved into this house matching that description in October 2005 situated in South Shore, Blackpool.

A Sunday meeting, fortnightly prayer meeting and 3 midweek ‘IMPACT’ groups have been launched. The church is growing with people from Blackpool, Poulton, Fleetwood, St. Annes and Cleveleys.

The vision is to draw people from all over the Fylde Coast. To raise up an army of light like Gideon's army - preaching and demonstrating the good news of the kingdom of God -  where the darkness is no match for the light!

We invite you to join us on this exciting journey!
